Cradle cap – a curable nuisance

Cradle cap is a condition that is common among children who are two years or younger. My niece suffered from the same and it did look ugly. However, she showed no signs of discomfort through what I thought would be a painful ordeal. Later, I realised that cradle cap is essentially harmless, apart from giving infants, in extreme cases, a horror flick appearance.

The good thing is that this condition tends to go away after the first couple of years. Though, there are exceptional cases where the condition may persist beyond two years. The causes of cradle cap are not defined, but the solutions are various. There are creams and special shampoos that can take care of this condition.
